Old school summer camping adventures at the heart of the National Park.
About: Set in twenty-nine acres of meadow and woodland, Bôn Camping is a great place to relax, unwind and immerse the senses in nature. Ideally situated in the middle of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, beautiful beaches are but a few minutes drive away, with prime conditions for surfing, sunbathing, walking and simply taking it all in.
Bôn Camping has pitches spread in both meadow and woodland, rich in biodiversity, plant and wildlife. The meadow has a total of five pitches, four being regular size and one extra large pitch. The meadow itself grows long grass and wild flowers, encouraging a vast array of life to inhabit there, not just campers. This comes with the added bonus of large spaces between pitches, allowing each some seclusion. Listen to the breeze rolling through the long grass, the sounds of the sea ebbing up through the valley, and take in the glorious night sky. The meadow has a compost toilet (serviced daily), and a tap for fresh drinking water too.
The pitches in the woods total nine, with plenty of space between each. Some of these pitches are more hidden than others, and are perfect if you really want to get away from it all in the wild woods. With lots of undisturbed natural habitat, the woods are frequented by a plethora of wildlife, and we encourage you to share any sightings or encounters you may have. Akin to the meadow, the woodland also has a compost loo serviced daily, and a fresh water tap.
Every pitch has a picnic table, fire pits to borrow free-of-charge, and firewood provided onsite at an additional cost. Kayaks are also available to borrow, on a first-come, first-served basis. In the main shed onsite, there are communal fridges, washing up area and a chest freezer, as well as two electric hot-water showers and two flushing toilets in addition to the two compost loos.
There are also two glamping structures onsite; a yurt and bell tent. The yurt is self-contained with a camp kitchen, ensuite shower and toilet, outdoor campfire, indoor woodburner, LED and solar lighting, and a picnic table.
The bell tent, 'Pabell Ffion', is tucked away in a spacious private clearing in the woods, with everything you need for your stay. This includes a picnic table, fire pit, double bed, camp kitchen, pots, pans, cutlery, crockery, utensils, a gas stove and BBQ, as well as a shared compost loo and water tap nearby.
The ethos of Bôn Camping is one of ensuring a low-impact, environmentally-conscious approach to camping. This means that the site has a no cars on pitches policy, cars being parked centrally, and all luggage being moved using the wheelbarrows provided. In addition to this, we supply eco-friendly shampoo, conditioner, soap and washing up liquid. The site is also dog-free, a decision that comes from ensuring the safety of local wildlife and other guests' peace of mind.
Worth Noting: Booking essential. Each pitch has a picnic table, fire pit. There are communal compost loos, flushing toilets, hot showers, and fridges and freezers. Kayaks available to borrow.
