Hidden away in the heart of Wales, Camp Plas is a haven for animal lovers, walkers and those who simply want to get a little closer to nature.
About: Here at the Camp Plas, you'll be enveloped in the workings of a traditional farm that's managed by farmers Charlotte & Barney. Whether that's spotting sheep being moved into another meadow, or at lambing time, seeing the magical birth of tiny lambs in the next field. Some of our bottle-reared sheep are friendly enough to come up for a little stroke too.
Camp Plas campsite has a total of nine tent pitches (and one luxury boatshed that's available for hire) spread along our large wildflower meadow. Half are under the shelter of our native oak trees, next to the peaceful sound of the River Vyrnwy, and the other half are next to our working farm field, which usually has our rarebreed sheep roaming freely (along with their little lambs in spring time). You have the option to book whichever side of the meadow you prefer.
During your stay you'll have full use of our communal kitchen area that has a sink, tea and coffee making facilities, gas hobs and an ice machine, so you can keep your cool bags or drinks nic e and cold in the summer months.
Worth Noting: For those of you who are coming to the area to enjoy our famous walking trails, we have a pay-as-you-go tumble drier to dry off your clothes if needed, and an outdoor washing area to clean down any dirty clothes/wellies (and of course, your dogs if they've decided to make the most of the river swimming!).
The showers and toilets are self contained, heated little sanctuaries where you can freshen up and get ready to make the most of another beautiful day here in the valley. We have a sink area with mirrors and hairdryers.
