Terms & Conditions of Membership
These Terms & Conditions govern the membership of the Greener Camping Club, an exempted camping organisation administered by Greener Camping Club Limited, registered in England and Wales—company Number 09749636.
Registered Office at Trellyn, Abercastle, Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire SA62 5HJ. Head Office: Parke at Llanreithan, Mathry, Pembrokeshire, SA62 5LG.
These Terms & Conditions apply where the Member is a 'Consumer' as defined by the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
1. Definitions and Interpretation
1.1 Definitions: In these Terms & Conditions, unless the context requires otherwise, the following expressions have the following meanings:
'Greener Camping Club/We/Us/Our' Refers to Greener Camping Club Limited, with offices located as above. This term includes all staff (employees and agents) of Greener Camping Club.
'Campsite Rules' Refers to the Club's Campsite Rules, which are incorporated into these Terms & Conditions.
'Membership' Refers to an individual who is a customer of Greener Camping Club, is a 'Consumer' and whose application for Membership has been accepted. The individual will remain a Member if they adhere to these Terms & Conditions.
'Registration Process' The application and registration form we provide you online, or the service carried out by our campsites when you join the Club through a campsite.
'Regulations' Refers to The Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation, and Additional Charges) Regulations 2015.
'Campsite' A location for camping that a Member may book.
'Accomodation Unit' refers to tents, campervans, caravavans, motorhomes, as well as any pre-erected 'glamping' accomodation provided by the campsite.
'You/Your' Refers to an individual who applies to become a Member of the Greener Camping Club and as the context allows, also means that person once accepted as a Member.
'Agents' Refers to third-party people and organisations with an affiliation or working agreement with the Club.
1.2 Interpretation: The headings used in these Terms & Conditions are for convenience only and shall not affect the interpretation. References to any gender shall include all genders.
2. Membership Registration
2.1 Eligibility:
To become a Member, you must be 18 or older. We may require evidence of your age.
Membership is only available to a 'Consumer' as defined above. Your completion of the application/registration process, will be deemed your confirmation that you are a 'Consumer' in connection with any request to receive services from us.
2.2 Application Process:
You may apply to become a Member by completing the Registration Process and agreeing to these Terms & Conditions.
The details you provide in the Registration Process must be complete and accurate, and you agree to these Terms & Conditions, including but not limited to the Campsite Rules.
Membership will only commence once you have paid the Membership Fee.
Upon application and receipt of the Membership Fee, a contract will be formed between you and us based on these Terms & Conditions.
2.3 Duration of Membership:
- Duration of Membership is from 1st January until 31st December (the season). Your Membership will continue until 31st December unless purchased after 1st September, in which case it will be valid until 31st December of the following year.
3. Booking and Staying at Our Campsites
3.1 Membership Requirement:
You must be a Member to make a campsite booking and you must be a Member during your stay.
Each occupied accomodation unit requires at least one Member.
Bookings and reservations you make at our campsites are subject to additional Terms & Condtions between you and the campsite.
3.2 Availability:
- Bookings and reservations are subject to availability at the chosen campsite.
4. Membership Fee, Cooling Off Period, Evidence of Membership
4.1 Membership Fee:
- You can pay the Membership Fee through our online payment mechanism, or through a chosen campsite's booking system.
4.2 Cooling-Off Period:
- You may cancel your Membership within 14 days of purchase provided you have not stayed at one of our campsites. We reserve the right to verify that this is the case.
4.3 Evidence of Membership:
- You must provide Evidence of Membership when requested by the campsite owner or by Club officials.
5. Limitation of Liability
5.1 Liability Disclaimer:
- The Club accepts no responsibility for loss or damage to persons or property from using our campsites.
6. Compliance
- You agree to comply fully at all times with the Club's Campsite Rules and individual campsite rules throughout your Membership period.
7. Prohibited Behaviour
You must keep your Membership details private from others.
We have a zero-tolerance policy for misuse of any Greener Camping Club online forums and social media pages - including sexist, racist, homophobic, discriminatory comments, bullying, harassment, or any other unacceptable behaviour towards other Members or their families. Any violation will result in the instant removal of membership.
8. Membership Termination
- In the event of any breach of these Terms & Conditions, or any additional specific rules provided to you by a particular campsite, the Greener Camping Club may cancel your Membership immediately at its absolute discretion. In such cases, you shall not be entitled to any refund of the Membership Fee.
9. Changes to Terms and Conditions
- We may change these Terms & Conditions without giving notice, but we will take reasonable steps to publicly announce any such change through our website or Club email newsletters.
10. Complaints and Feedback
10.1 Complaints:
For complaints relating to a booking issue or level of service on a campsite, in the first instance contact the campsite directly.
If you have no satisfaction from the campsite, please contact the Club.
10.2 Feedback: We welcome feedback from Greener Camping Club Members and the general public.
- Should you have a complaint about behaviour of other Members, cleanliness/sanitation, or you feel a campsite hasn’t reached the standards you expect from the Club, then contact us at headoffice@greenercamping.org.

12. Law and Jurisdiction
12.1 Governing Law:
- These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the Laws of England and Wales.
12.2 Jurisdiction:
- Any dispute or claim between you and us relating to these Terms & Conditions shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the Courts of England and Wales.
