Step into cider country in the heart of South Somerset, where traditional camping meets a touch of luxury. A unique place to escape, unwind and explore.

About: Enjoy a touch of luxury in this beautifully furnished safari tent, full of rustic charm. With a full-size double bed, sofa bed and pull-out single, it comfortably sleeps a family of four. A log burner keeps things cosy, while the deck is perfect for soaking up the views. Inside, you’ll find a kettle for that essential morning cuppa and a cool box, while outside there’s a campfire/BBQ for relaxed evenings under the stars. Complete with bedding, towels and thoughtful touches throughout, even marshmallows! Everything is ready for you to simply arrive and unwind.

We also have two spacious, grass pitches, which are cradled by tall grass and wildflowers.  

‘The Container’ provides a pair of flushing toilet cubicles, a family size shower room and camp kitchen, which opens onto a seated BBQ area. As well as the well-stocked kitchen, you’ll also find secure lockers, should you want to charge your devices or simply lock them away! 

Press Bars Camping is, quite literally, built on the idea of sustainability. We have used reclaimed, re-purposed and up-cycled materials, furniture and structures to create an eco-friendly, sometimes quirky, luxury camping experience to remember. 

Dogs are welcome to camp on site (excluding the safari tent), but must be kept on a lead at all times. Our field gate opens directly onto a public footpath, which can lead you to discover the local area via numerous trails.  Across the road, the village pub serves delicious food, particularly their Sunday carvery. There is also a snack van in the village and a newly opened cake shed, for those of you with a sweet tooth! 

Worth Noting: Being a small site, camping is for tents and campervans only. We can only accommodate one vehicle per pitch. 

We welcome and encourage campfires, however, they must be off the ground. What better way to spend an evening than sitting around a campfire, roasting marshmallows under the stars!
