About: This rural campsite is in an area of outstanding natural beauty and since there is little light pollution, on a clear night, the sky is truly spectacular.

We are embracing our eco-focus and are re-wilding the campsite with areas of wild grasses and wildflowers between each pitch. This supports wildlife, as well as providing more privacy for campers.   Visitors enjoy our well-kept amenities, including the nearby toilets and showers, a shared indoor space for food preparation and drying clothes, and access to a fridge, freezer, kettle, and charging points for phones and other small devices.   We have 10 pitches spread across two areas. The larger of the two features seven pitches centred around a picturesque communal space with tables and seating. The second is tucked away behind, overlooking a field often used for sheep and cattle.

Dogs are welcome (max. 2 per pitch) but must be kept on the lead at all times to avoid worrying the livestock. The nearby coast path and countryside offer plentiful walking opportunities and we are within easy reach of the Camel Cycling Trail, which runs from Bodmin to Padstow.

On site there is a small gallery and craft shop stocking creations by local artists and crafters. There is a well-stocked local store and Post Office, petrol station and pub (with good food!), only half a mile away. The pub at Crackington Haven overlooks the sea, so you can enjoy the sunset over the ocean with a drink in hand.

We provide a fire pit for each pitch, which is available free of charge for the duration of your stay.

Bude is around a 15-minute drive (bus stop also 0.5 mile away) with its shops, restaurants and beaches. We are truly spoilt for choice with our beaches and have everything from golden sands, rock pools to explore and clamber over, plus great surfing - and the opportunity to hire equipment and book lessons locally too.

The beautiful harbour village of Boscastle is about 20 minutes away by car, and the home of legendary King Arthur, is found at Tintagel Castle, around 25 minutes away. The mystical St Nectan’s Glen offers a walk through lush forest before reaching the waterfall and there is a nature trail for children by the tea room. Nearby are the mysterious labyrinth rock carvings at Rocky Valley dating from the early Bronze Age (1800-1400 BC), keep walking to the coast path for sea views and a small waterfall.

Other options for entertaining children include Hidden Valley puzzle park, Camel Creek theme park, Trethorne leisure park, and swimming pools at Bude and Camelford, all less than 30 minutes away. Many more attractions are found only slightly further afield.

Worth Noting: Flushing toilets, solar powered hot showers, campervans welcome. We are part of a co-housing community of 15 households, working together to run a small holding, grow veggies and live lightly together. There is no access to the resident’s part of the property, but if you are interested in co-housing, please arrange to speak with us and perhaps visit (by prior arrangement only).
