About: Brand new in February 2026, The Old Farmhouse Shepherd’s Hut offers a luxurious and beautifully crafted glamping retreat, finished to an exceptional standard. Designed to feel both spacious and light, the hut combines comfort, style and thoughtful details throughout.
At one end you’ll find a fully plumbed shower room featuring a generous walk-in power shower, hand basin, WC and heated towel rail. At the other sits a sumptuous king-size bed dressed with The White Company bed linen, a mattress topper and two anti-allergy pillows per person, along with matching The White Company towels.
Between these spaces is a well equipped kitchen and dining area, complete with a Belfast sink, dining table and bench seating. French doors open out onto the wildflower garden, filling the hut with natural light and creating a wonderful connection with the surrounding countryside.
The kitchen includes an Everhot electric stove with cooking oven (perfect for slow cooking while you are out exploring), a Samsung 28L combi oven, two ring induction hob, fridge with small freezer compartment, Nespresso coffee machine, toaster and kettle. A full range of pots, pans, cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery and glasses are also provided.
Set in the picturesque hamlet of North Marden, in the heart of the South Downs National Park, the hut sits between the historic market towns of Petersfield and Chichester. Surrounded by rolling countryside and far reaching views, it is a wonderfully peaceful setting rich in wildlife, where deer, red kites, barn owls and buzzards are frequently seen.
A truly tranquil haven, The Old Farmhouse Shepherd’s Hut is the perfect place to relax, unwind and enjoy the beauty of the South Downs.
Worth Noting: We welcome one well-behaved dog. The Goodwood Estate is just a 5–10 minute drive away, while Chichester Harbour can be reached in around 15–20 minutes. The South Downs Way is just up the road, offering wonderful walking and cycling opportunities, and there is also a great selection of excellent pubs and restaurants nearby.
