About: Trellyn was created in 2002 by Claire and Kevin who are passionate campers and regularly spend more than 2 months a year camping themselves. The site is a family business with Son Matt and his Partner Emma, now part of the welcoming team.
With continuous reinvestment in the environment and the site, 2 years here are never quite the same, which is just part of the reason why you'll find guests coming back here year after year. All their pitches and glamping structures are unique and nestled into natural grassy glades, with the woodland hugging the edges. Just enough for creating a great sheltered experience but open enough to enjoy the sun and not too enclosed. The whole site was once grazed farmland with low bio-diversity, but with 29 years of planting, nurturing, and more than 8,000 trees and shrubs planted over the years, it now offers a fantastic camping experience close to nature.
Everything has been thought of within the campsite, from free-to-borrow surfboards, wetsuits, and sit-on-top kayaks, down to individual eco-toilets on each pitch, which are 'fresh' for each new visitor. With free firewood and every pitch and structure having its own covered fire pit area, you can enjoy toasting those marshmallows or watching 'Neanderthal TV', whatever the weather.
The sites are each so secluded that you can’t see your neighbours from your pitch, but due to the layout, children and parents love the freedom and compact nature of the site for a truly relaxing experience. Outside the school holidays, mostly couples stay, providing the ultimate chill-out experience with the wood-burning sauna available at all times and stunning beaches and walks at the end of the campsite.
Worth Noting: Booking essential! Free Firewood. Each pitch has a campfire, eco-toilet, covered campfire area and a picnic table. Bodyboards, kayaks and many other beach toys are free to borrow. Free pizza night every Monday, weather permitting.
