About: Welcome to Belan Bluebell Woods, our 60 acre re-wilded family farm in the Cambrian Mountains near Llanidloes.

If you’re looking for camping or glamping on a small, peaceful site filled with wildflowers, trees, mountain views and starry skies, but still enjoy a few home comforts, you’ve found the right place!

Choose Idris, our beautiful Shepherd’s Hut, for a secluded adults-only escape. Hidden in a meadow, it features a quirky horsebox shower, covered kitchen, campfire, BBQ and a private wood fired hot tub.

For family adventures, choose Willow, Oak or Daisy, our spacious Geodome glamping tents. Each has its own private kitchen and facilities, plus a welcome hamper with homemade lemon drizzle cake waiting on arrival.

We also offer a gravelled campervan pitch and several generous meadow pitches for tents.

Each pitch has hedging for privacy, its own fire pit and seating. Logs are available to buy, and don’t miss our quirky horsebox hot showers, individual compost loos and washing-up barn.

Enjoy little luxuries too: weekend pizza nights, coffee and pastries from our horsebox café, and an honesty shop stocked with Welsh treats and essentials. You’ll find phone charging points, a communal barn with seating, books, games and a large fridge/freezer.

Stargazing is exceptional here, as we’re in a recognised Dark Skies Wales area. Meet our resident red kites, feed the sheep and say hello to George the pony.

The perfect base for exploring Mid Wales highlights, including Hafren Forest, Clywedog Reservoir, the Elan Valley and Bwlch Nant yr Arian. A convenient stopover when travelling to or from West Wales. Walk straight from the farm onto forest hilltop trails, or head out to the red kite feeding station, wild swimming spots, paddleboarding, fly fishing, mountain biking and the Yamaha off-road experience, all within easy reach.

Worth Noting: We aim to make life easy, with a large communal fridge and freezer. Pre-order charcoal, bbq packs, picnic hampers or afternoon tea. Locally, wild swimming spots abound, paddle boarding/watersports or fly-fishing lessons are available, as are pony rides. Walkers or mountain bikers are spoilt for choice of trails.
