About: We manage Great Cotmarsh Farm in a way that helps nature flourish and our small campsite is managed to the same philosophy. In spring and summer, pathways and pitches are carefully mown into one of our fields, creating a simple, natural setting for campers to enjoy.

Relax in our luxury Shepherd’s Hut, or bring your own tent and share our little slice of heaven. Enjoy our delicious organic sausage and bacon, perfect for a proper campsite breakfast . Or try our 100% pasture-fed organic lamb and beef for a hearty evening meal.

Meet our native breed cattle and sheep and explore the surrounding pasture. If you’re looking for a holiday with plenty of space, fresh air, good food and time to reconnect with nature, Great Cotmarsh Farm is the perfect place to stay. 

Tent Pitches: We have five, large tent pitches ready for you to rock up and pitch your own camping gear.

Wash Houses: Two wash houses serve the five camping pitches, each with a hot shower, flushing toilet and vanity basin, stocked with natural essential-oil products.

Field Kitchen: Our field kitchen includes a wood-fired oven for making pizzas, as well as cast-iron pans for slow roasting meat and vegetables, cooking curries or lasagnes, or even baking bread.

Campfires: Each pitch comes with a fire box, ideal for safe campfires, perfect for toasting marshmallows or gathering around in the evening.

Shepherd's Hut: New for 2026, our beautiful Shepherd’s Hut blends traditional charm with contemporary design to create a special retreat on the farm. Inside, oak floors, underfloor heating and large picture windows frame stunning views of the Marlborough Downs.

The hut has two separate bedrooms, a master with a super king bed and picture window and a second room with full size bunk beds. Single futons in the living area provide additional sleeping space if needed.

You’ll have a private bathroom stocked with luxury organic toiletries, plus a well-equipped kitchen with a Belfast sink, fridge, induction hob and cooker. A dining table and chairs make it easy to enjoy relaxed meals indoors.

Beautifully furnished with sheepskin rugs and blankets made from our own flock of native sheep, the hut feels both authentic and luxurious, with a cosy log burner for cooler months.

Outside, take in the views while cooking on your traditional wood-fired Santa Maria grill, perfect for asado-style barbecuing. The grill lifts off to create a fire box, ideal for relaxed evenings around the campfire.

Worth Noting: No cars are allowed in the camping field. This is not just for the safety of other guests and the peaceful nature of the field, but also to help support the biodiversity and soil health. We can help with unloading.

As a working farm with livestock, sorry but we don't permit dogs.
