About: Buckland Farm Camping sits under the Blackdown Hills in a perfect location for exploring this part of Somerset, and over the border to Devon. There are beautiful views of the hills from the site, and easy access direct from the campsite to local walking, such as Buckland Woods and Quants Moor Nature Reserve. These are ancient woodlands, teaming with wildlife, and are part of the Blackdown Hills AONB.

Being just a few minutes away from the M5, (but far enough to still be quiet) it is easy to explore many other areas locally, such as the Quantock Hills, Exmoor, and beaches are also within driving distance.

Of course, alternatively, you may wish to use your stay to relax and unwind with a glass of wine and cook your supper on one of our grill/campfires.

Mown into the meadow, we have created a picnic area, with tables and space to play. There is a large bell tent lounge, furnished with comfortable seating and stocked with children’s games and an assortment of books, local guides and maps. There is also a freezer and convenient charging stations for phones and small gadgets.

For your canine companions, we offer a dedicated off lead paddock where they can explore, sniff and play. Choose one of our enclosed pitches where your dogs may roam freely (although we do require them to be on lead around the rest of the site).

Camping pitches are spacious, spread over five acres. The pitches are all mown into the longer grass, and are around 12 x 14 metres in size. They can accommodate large set-ups with no extra charge for gazebos, awnings etc.

As well as the camping pitches, we have two glamping bell tents. These are fully furnished with a double bed, two single futons, bedside tables and a storage chest, and decorated to make them feel cosy and welcoming. To keep costs down for you, we ask you to bring your own bedding and cooking equipment.

NEW for 2026 is our ‘Copse’ pitch. This is set in a wooded area at one end of the campsite. There is a parking area for your vehicle(s), and the actual pitch is approached via a pretty wooden footbridge over a stream. The pitch is fenced similarly to our other fenced/enclosed pitches, and equipped with its own loo (composting), picnic table and seating.

We have six compost loos (plus urinals), designed specifically for us, and also hot showers and washing up sinks, plus three mains cold water taps.
