Peaceful, family-friendly camping with a view. Come and live alongside nature for a while on our rural smallholding.

About: Pitch your tent (or small campervan) on one of only five generous pitches in our young orchard, within a gently sloping meadow, surrounded by long grass and hedge borders.

Enjoy the views with us - we have donkeys, free-range chickens (and fresh eggs!) and Herdwick sheep, plus seasonally, lambs and piglets.

Each pitch has its own campfire. Spend the evening toasting marshmallows and counting stars to the soundtrack of the tawny owl. Supplies of firelighters, kindling and logs are available to purchase in returnable crates.

Watch for barn owls, bats, buzzards and kestrels while you relax in the peaceful north Devon landscape after a day exploring the coast, moors or many attractions locally.

We are only three miles from the market town of Torrington with its range of independent shops, RHS Rosemoor and weekly pannier market. 15 minutes drive away is both Barnstaple and Bideford - and not much further to the superb north Devon beaches.

We have composting toilets and a gas-powered shower, washing up facilities and charging points. Parking is at the entrance to the site enabling a car-free environment for all. Wheelbarrows (and assistance) are available to get your gear to your pitch. We’ll choose a spot for you, endeavouring to accommodate any requests, but we may have to rest a pitch to keep the ground in great condition for the season.

We encourage the use of environmentally friendly toiletries as drainage is onto our land which we work hard to maintain without the use of chemicals. We enjoy recycling as much as possible and support the reduction of single use plastics. Please separate your waste and consider whether something can be reused before throwing it away.

Worth Noting: We are a working smallholding with the associated livestock (including the sounds and aromas) so we are regrettably unable to accommodate dogs.
