About: Set in 12 acres of meadows, hedgerows and trees, Thamesview Camping is an eco retreat for walkers, families and lovers of the River Thames. We have 25 pitches, away from busy roads and virtually no light pollution.

Situated next to the River Thames, on the edge of East Tilbury Village, we are adjacent to the iconic Coal House Fort on one side and the Essex Wildlife Trust Thameside Nature Discovery Park on the other.

We are a new, family-run campsite for you to enjoy and get back to nature. No frills or spills of the city, just wildlife and river walks - and then back to relaxing by your own campfire for star-gazing and relaxation.

The camping areas are car-free, which means it's great for kids. Access to the camping pitches by car is permitted for loading and unloading your camping gear.

Each pitch is provided with a picnic bench, fire-pit and BBQ grill. Hot LPG showers are provided, along with compost loos and a washing up area.

Apart from great camping, you'll be spoilt for things to do: great walks, the Thames, historic forts and nature. RSPB Stanford Wharf is just minutes along the sea wall. You'll also find the Thameside Nature Discovery Park, Coal House Fort, Tilbury Fort, Gravesend Ferry - all close by. We have a small colony of seals living just outside the campsite on the Thames, so bring your binoculars!

Worth Noting: We can accommodate one pet dog per pitch, which must be kept on a lead at all times.
