About: Shepherd's Crag Glamping is an eco-responsible glamping and camping site on our family farm in the South Lakes. With just five pitches, we have all you need for a peaceful stay in the beautiful Cumbrian countryside. Our glamping and camping pitches are all positioned to give you your own space and privacy, whilst taking advantage of the beautiful views we are so lucky to have.

Looking directly out from the site we are blessed with outstanding views of the Yorkshire Dales and Ingleborough. To the rear of the site (all less than a 10 minute walk) is Hutton Roof Crags, Newbiggin Crags and Farleton Knott which all offer extensive views of the local area, from the Lake District right round to the sea. The surrounding crags are well known for walking, climbing and mountain biking enthusiasts - and are nestled between the Lake District National Park, The Yorkshire Dales and Silverdale & Arnside AONB. The Lake District and Yorkshire Dales are less than a 30 minute drive away and the coast at Arnside and Silverdale can be reached in 20 minutes. Our site has the benefit of numerous places to explore, whilst avoiding the crowds that the Lake District attracts.

We have a dark night sky and offer fire-pits for hire to keep you warm whilst stargazing! Both glamping and camping options offer quality shared gas cooking and washing up facilities and access to a fridge and charging points. We have two composting toilets (one of which doubles up as Cumbria's quirkiest art gallery) and hot showers, and because we are such a small site, there will rarely be a queue!

As well as camping and campervan pitches, we offer two bespoke glamping options; the Shepherd's Pod, a purpose built camping pod and a safari tent. The pod comfortably sleeps two in a real double bed. It has a table and chairs, a picnic bench, BBQ/ firepit and a picnic bench. The safari tent sleeps four to six with a double bed, double bunk bed and a day bed. It has a dining table for six, mugs, cups, plates and cutlery, basic pots and pans and a small stove. It also come with a picnic bench and BBQ/ fire pit.

Our site is small - just five pitches in total. Shepherd's Crag Glamping is aimed at couples, small groups and families looking to relax in a peaceful countryside location in the South Lakes area of Cumbria.

Worth Noting: Dogs are welcome but as a working dairy and sheep farm, we must insist that they remain tethered or on a lead at all times. Small campervans and trailer tents are welcome but we are not suitable for caravans and motorhomes.
