Finchingfield Camping
Relaxed camping on a small working lavender farm, within nine acres of wildflower meadowland and surrounded by neighbouring farmland.
About: This Essex haven is perfect for a country camping retreat under the stars. Dotted across the whole site, 10 spacious pitches are mowed into the long meadow grass, providing a more secluded setting for your stay.
From each pitch you will enjoy views of the cornfields and nearby woodland, where you will often spot wild deer basking in the sunshine. The lavender is in bloom for a large part of the summer. Why not get involved and try your hand at some harvesting and crafting or simply relax on the sun loungers in the purple haze.
Facilities wise, each pitch is provided with a picnic bench and fire-pit with a BBQ grill. Hot LPG showers, composting toilets and a wash area are located in the middle of the site. Overlooking the lavender field is a central area with kid’s games, mud kitchen and hay bale sofas for all to enjoy.
Finchingfield Camping is located just one mile from the picture postcard village of Finchingfield with its village green, duck pond, windmill, mix of Medieval and Georgian chocolate box houses, tea rooms and pubs, all presided over by the distinctive cupola of the village church. This Essex outpost is the very definition of idyllic.
Worth Noting: Located on a lavender smallholding, one mile from the picture postcard village of Finchingfield and just over an hour away from central London.
