Secluded woodland camping and glamping in a peaceful rural location, adjacent to the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park and Cleddau estuary.
About Dragonfly Camping: Tucked away in a nine acre wood on our 300 acre organic dairy farm on the edge of the Cleddau estuary. It's a quiet rural location within easy reach of south Pembrokeshire’s finest beaches, (notably Freshwater West - great for surfing and Café Mor beach café), castles (Carew Castle is the closest and a great spot for kids to go crabbing) and the coastal 180 mile coast path.
You can walk to the Cresswell Arms, a traditional pub at the water's edge and watch the boats float up on the rising tide. Or a five minute drive to Lawrenny where you can launch your own small boats and canoes, or enjoy local crab sandwiches at the Lawrenny tearooms.
As there are only 10 woodland camping pitches it is never crowded. There's an off-grid wash house with two low flushing toilets and two hot water showers. Alongside the wash house is a beautiful, timber-framed and canvas-covered building for washing up with plenty of hot water and a games area for rainy days.
There is also a cosy shepherd's hut and converted horsebox washroom in its own wild grass meadow. Peace and quiet and enjoying nature with a few creature comforts is what we aim to provide.
Worth Noting: Woodland camping and glamping accommodation are located in separate areas of the farm. Each camping pitch has its own shelter, picnic table and firepit.
All our firewood is sustainably sourced from the farm and is included in the booking. Secret bush-bath when staying in shepherd's hut. Pizza night once a week in woodland campsite during school summer holidays.
